A 10”x8” unsigned black and white photograph showing Chuck posing next to his “W/Bell X-1” aircraft named “Glamorous Glennis”. It was aboard this plane that Chuck became the first person to go “supersonic” aerially – on 14th October 1947 he flew at 813.797mph.
Chuck has signed very clearly in black pen on card.
The photograph and signature have been double-mounted in cream and black to an overall size of 16"x12".
